He has obtained prizes and awards for his journalistic work as the Prize "Belisario Dominguez," the award "Don Ruma," delivered to journalists from several Latin American countries, the award for Excellence given by the journalistic CIDAP and nominated for a prize the European Union. He is currently President of the Front for Journalists, an organization dedicated to defending freedom of expression.
